Networking Goals: When planning on attending a networking event have you thought about setting some personal goals? Today’s goal is thinking about what types of businesses would be a great connection for your business? Why types of businesses are seeing your ideal client? These would be business professionals who have a symbiotic relationship. They are in compatible, noncompetitive professions. Each one is working with clients that have similar needs but require different services. Hence, they’re working that symbiotic relationship.

Today’s action: create a list of all types of businesses that might complement yours. For example: Business Coach might want to be connected to: accountants, book keepers, lawyers, investment advisors, graphic designers, printers, social media marketing, online marketing, business bankers, financial planner, IT specialists, virtual assistants, commercial realtors, and Health professionals.

Once you are clear on your list, look in your database to see who you already know, or come to networking meetings with a strategic plan of who you are looking to connect with. Once identified, connect with them and set up a discovery session to see if you both might be a fit for one another. This creates a great referral resource with a win/win for both of you.
